Marie-Luise Angerer

Born in 1958 in Bregenz/Austria;
studied communication sciences, history of art, philosophy, Romance languages and literature in Vienna;
post-doctoral thesis at the University of Salzburg; cooperation in various research projects; journalist and member of the scientific editorial staff of the Austrian national broadcasting company.
From 1992, lectureships at the universities of Vienna and Salzburg; later on research stays in the US, Canada, Australia and Great Britain; guest lectureships in Berlin, Budapest and Zurich; stand-in lectureship at the Film and TV Studies Institute of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum.

Since 2000, professor of Gender [ ] Media at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne.
From 2000 to 2004, prorectorship for teachings and research.
From 2001 to 2005, jury member of Bundeskulturstiftung; member of the board of trustees of Deutsches Hygiene-Museum Dresden.
