Rebecca A. Layton is an artist and writer based in Berlin and Brooklyn. Her work looks at exhaustive maintenance, intimacy and digital versus in-person experience, exploring how the body functions (or doesn’t) within the constraints of society. She has participated in exhibitions, residencies, readings and workshops all over the place, most recently at a.p./Callie's and Lebensmittel in Berlin, La Mama in New York and LAZNIA Contemporary Art Center in Gdansk, Poland. Layton received a double BA in studio art and art history from Hunter College in New York and an MFA from the Bauhaus in Weimar.
