Giulia Valenti is a visual artist, music producer and event organizer living in Berlin.
She graduated in NABA Milano with a BA thesis on surveillance and prison system in 2012 and she is currently a student in the MA Digital Media in HFK Bremen and a permanent guest in Natascha Sadr Haghighian's class.
Her research-based work gravitates around the topics of surveillance, power structures, warfare, cybernetics and the political and social landscape drawn by the man-machine interaction and finds the preferred output in comics, film and writing. In Feb 2019 she released her debut EP on Forbidden Planet under the alias UNPROFESSIONAL. Before this release, she has been performing LIVE in the darkest corners of Europe’s electronic music scene and engaging in organizing small local parties which featured a pretty disparate group of musicians. She is now label manager of Forbidden Planet Records.
