thealit is a women's project in Bremen that is dedicated to advancing experimental work at the borders of scientific, philosophical and artistic discourse. The trans-European lab "do not exist: europe, woman, digital medium“ continues the tradition of the annual thealit laboratories, which explore the relations between technical media and cultural production in various ways and from various perspectives.
The opening conference in Bremen from September 28 to October 1 is the first in a network of events and collaborations also taking place in Cologne, Tallinn, Sofia and Ljubljana.

Willkommen beim Frauen.Kultur.Labor thealit

thealit ist ein Frauenprojekt in Bremen, das seit vielen Jahren experimentelle Arbeit an den Grenzen wissenschaftlicher, philosophischer und künstlerischer Diskurse praktiziert und in dieser Zone neue Wege ausprobiert. Das transeuropäische Labor "do not exist: europe, woman, digital medium“ setzt die Tradition des jährlichen Laboratorien thealits fort und das heißt die Relationen zwischen technischen Medien und kultureller Produktion zu erforschen – in verschiedenen Verfahren und von unterschiedlichen Standpunkten aus.
Die Eröffnungskonferenz in Bremen von 28.9. bis 1.10.2006 versteht sich selbst als ein Teil eines Netzwerks aus Veranstaltungen und Kooperationen, die auch in Köln, Tallin, Sofia und Ljubljana stattfinden werden.
