Women existing (?) in Polish political discourse
I would like to analyse how women and women's issues appear in Polish political discourse. The main question is what kind of language (words, metaphors, expressions) is used by Polish politicians from significant parties and what effects this has and may have in future. I would like to present women's issues that have appeared in the last few years in Poland and that are still mentioned too rarely unless they are used in election campaigns. These issues include housewives retirement funds, discrimination and abortion. In each case Polish politicians do not seem to be able to treat women as women when talking about them, instead talking about the "roles" which (in their opinion) women should play in society. They often emphasise the natural role of women. That leads to stereotyping and an increase in discrimination in many professional and private domains.
